Ready To Go - A car named Dave - Gallery

Day One - Day two - Day Three - Day Four - Day Five - The End!

Thoughts from the team - Chris - Adrian - Dan - Al

A couple of months was spent scouring autotrader and ebay, Chris looked at a couple of mingers and a few cars! bid on and won a Vauxhall Chav-alier from ebay only to find it had very little headroom in the back and a front wheel bearing that made an interesting grinding noise! it was put back on ebay and had it not been for ebay's high fees we would have made a profit!

On 8th February 2007 we blew the whole £100 budget on a 1988 Mazda 626 GLX 2.0 manual without even looking at it! the car had been on ebay and not sold so a quick email to the reluctant seller and the deal was done. Two previous owners and the last bought it in 1991.

It was driven from Crewe to Warrington with no problems it needed a new indicator lens which was found on ebay for the princely sum of £10.

Albert casts his critical eye over our newly gained chariot and comments on the slight scrape along the drivers side wheel arch! and we paid £100 for it?, theres no pleasing some people.

On February 14th 2007 instead of wining and dining my wife, I (Chris) took the car for an MOT and it was a PASS Wonderous!

A bit later on in February the North East chapter of the team arrive for an inspection and we spend the day trying to decide what should be done to tart the car up! Albert was a no show.
