The website domain torque-of-the-north.co.uk was bought so we could document this mad adventure.

Input and enthusiasm from the Manchester chapter - Albert and the North East Chapter - Dan & Adrian is severly lacking!

Went to do some work for a mate and discovered he had an empty garage, a few days later his girlfriend was showing the estate agent around the house and discovered someone had parked a Mazda 626 GLX! in the garage the exact same colour as ours.

Input from North East Chapter - zilch, nothing, silence, maybe the t'internet is not working in the back of beyond (Hexham) after all they have only just got the elektrickery.

Then there were 3 ! due to a total lack of enthusiasm and input from the "team" I have resigned.

Our team leader Albert sent an email, an event worth a mention and I quote, "We really need to decide if we are going to do a theme, either dressing up or changing our chariot as time is starting to tick"

IT HAPPENED! the weather was perfect, thunder clouds were building and the North East chapter of the team had a scaffold pole rigged to the roof of the house a woglestone was positioned at the perfect angle in the garden.

Adrian was hammering away at the keyboard, Dan keeping watch on the weather, BANG the lightning hit the scaffold pole then bounced across the garden, ricocheted of the woglestone into the modem, the valves were glowing the lights were flashing the t'internet connection was live!

Dan is telling his Dad to send the message time is running out. Adrian has no clue which is the send key, he's an accountant"!

"RETURN RETURN", shouts Dan, (Adrian knows what one of those is). The enter key is hit, will the t'internet connection hold long enough? YES, a message is sent from Hexham.

They get on the tellingbone to Albert Its alive I tell you, the t'internet is alive and Albert also bangs out an email.

Two emails in one day, its more than I can cope with!
