As its me thats written
the web pages my account is pretty much summed up but just to add a few things.
What have I learnt?
That I am impaitent and
want everything done yesterday! will that change? NO!
Driving onto a train and
driving off in another country and time zone is weird.
Three back seat drivers and a satnav are worse than one nagging
wife!
Going round roundabouts anti clockwise is not
natural.
The only non driver (Dan) had a better road awareness and sense of
direction than the drivers!
The
Loquax duck
knows the way!
Rome is a long way!
Venice is OK if you are
bored one weekend and have nothing better to do and like getting ripped off.
Rome is OK if you like graffiti and pick pockets. The further into Europe
you go the worse the driving gets.
Italian women are
gorgeous, not that I noticed any, Ok maybe I had a quick glance at one or two
but I think I got away with it!
Things I would like to
know?
Why are the roads in the
UK congested and full of accidents when they drive like lunatics abroad and the
traffic flows freely?
Why does the satnav only
work when you know where you are going?
Why when you are flying
does the pilot say we are on the final approach, does this mean hes had a
couple of goes but its not worked out, so hes having a final go, after that
your on your own!
Would I do it
again?
YES!
Finally
I would like to say
thanks to Dan, Adrian, Albert, "Dave", John the satnav and the Loquax duck for
a great trip.
And once again a BIG THANK YOU to
Loquax have
I mentioned Loquax?.
